XT 1 x 11 crank

Just received a new XT 8000 crank ordered as a 1 x 11 and was surprised to see it has mountings for a 2 x set up. Anyone know if there is a specific 1 x XT crank available (not just a 2 x they send out regardless)?

That's how mine are. I think the single rings are spaced in a little to get a better chainline
