Do we have a plan yet? Was thinking about the December Gala and don't want to double up.

No plan yet. Would you prefer the Minch moor bothy, restless? We could set off from Peebles over the hills to Traquair and into the bothy? We could do a little night riding too if everyone has lights. Ive got a couple of sets and some homebrew lights if anyone needs some. mike

I don't mind anything, quite happy to camp out proper in October with no bothy and save them for the dead of winter ;)

Ray, I have a set of lumicycle halogen you are welcome to use.
I'm happy to camp out but suggest the bothy if weather is bad.

Got some time for biking this weekend after building a bike. Will put together a route for the October outing. It's looking like i won't be able to make the 8th December.

Hello Ray. Route planning has not gone well. Shortage of staff at work has meant I've done extra hours and my attempt to plot a route last week was cut short by a late start. I'll be free on Saturday from about 2pm. Would you like to do some of the route you did around Peebles or something different? How will you get down here? I could pick you up from Edinburg as I'll be in Dalkeith earlier in the day. Mike

Hi Mike, I'm more than happy to do some of the same stuff or I could sort a route out if you don't have the time. A pickup would be great, my wife was going to drop me off/pick me up but Saturday is a busy day for her that weekend so that would make things easier for her. With a 2pm start I will definatley need to borrow the lights you so kindly offered to lend me. Never night ridden before so it should be interesting. I will PM my phone number to you. You still up for this Restless and any other takers?

Ray, i would appreciate you planning a route. Let me know where to pick you up from. Found my lights and they are charging as i type.

Restless, it does seem colder and i think i may have to take a big sleeping bag. Hopefully it will fit on the bike somehow.

Hi Mike, I can cycle over to Dalkeith no problem and meet you there which will save you driving into Edinburgh and out again. Just let me know what time. Shall get onto looking at a route tonight. I think it's going to be wet and muddy most places!

Sorry to hear about the car restless. Route planning is in the hands of ray. Not sure where we will sleep. Perhaps we could meet in the middle somehow for a bivi and whisky? Did you not do a route through to Broughton?

Hi guy's, just read this now and a bit tipsy as I have been out celebrating our anniversary with the wife. Will think about it and get back to you on Friday. Maybe Restless and I could make our own seperate way to Peebles to meet you early evening then go off somewhere for a few hours before bivi'ing then do something on sunday. How does that sound to you both?
