How good are Gorilla Clips?

Post by Teetosugars »

Any real world reviews?
The age old conundrum of a Medium frame and wanting a frame bag so need somewhere to store water etc..
So wanting to hear if they are worth it, or do I just get a pair of 29er Disc Fork - Includes Anything Cage/Bottle Cage Mounts for about £25 more?

I used three on the Divide. Two on my forks with normal cages and one with a gorilla cage under my down tube. None of them budged a mm. I wouldn't however put a water bottle in a gorilla cage under the DT again. Too wobbly. Fine if on the forks I expect.

I have a set on my suspension forks. Had their first big outing on a recent 5 week long trip over rough terrain. Didn't budge a millimeter.
Dan has them as well but he has the forks with the braze ons. Can hold 1.5 l bottle of water in each.

Are you talking about the clips (mounts for where you have none) or the cages themselves? Are you aware of the Bike Buddy?

Yes, that is rather unfortunate positioning of a bush.

Teetosugars, I have the clips on my suspension forks in the above pic.
