New bike advice

Post by MarkW »

I'm searching for a new bike for bikepacking. I'm looking for a 29er hardtail/rigid with boost compatibility with enough clearance for b+. Owing to the fact I already have a set of b+ on a full sus bicycle. I'll be able to swap the wheelsets between the 2 bikes giving me 4 possible setups. More space in the garage and less explaining n+1 to my wife!

It seems all the boost frames out there come with plus wheels though. I don't mind building it up myself if need be.

Any suggestions/advice please?

Loads of choice here:

The 2017 Surly Karate Monkey 27.5+ seems the most versatile. I haven't ridden one, though.
May you always have tail wind.

We can supply our Hoolie with either 650B+ or 29er wheels (although we sell it as B+ normally). It's Boost.

Thanks both. Steve, I do love the look of the hoolie. Its at the top of my list thus far. In fact I emailed you to ask about 29 the other day.
