WTD 21 speed shifters brake levers & V Brakes

Post by scott of the woods »

HI,
I am looking to source a set of 21 speed shifters brake levers and V Brakes for a friends old bike as his shifters have bitten the dust. looking to upgrade from cantis to v brakes as I cant find any cheap shifter/canti lever combinations anywhere and seems easier just to swap the whole lot to v brakes. Can anyone help?

On closer inspection, it would appear not. Sorry.

I do have some V-brakes and V-brake levers kicking about. Avid Single digit 5's and fr-5 levers (levers all working loverl, but does have a slight chip on the corner at the end of the lever). If you're interested in those, I'll take some photos.

Cheers for looking Zippy, I'll hang on to see what boxelder comes back with, as that will save forking out on shifters. Thanks again :-bd

Argh - they're 9 speed........must have been an early adopter.

I have some 8 speed Alivio triggers (8x3) and V brakes - Shimano brakes with Cannondale levers. Levers a bit scuffed, but nearly new dual compound pads.

Also have:

Two FSA (Alphadrive?) triple chainsets
Alivio front and rear mechs
New unused 8 speed cassette (Deore I think)

Open to offers.

How much do you want for these?

I'll be honest with you, having just dug them up and had a look, you can have them for £10 sent to feed the bear. They're good brakes, all work fine, but they have been used a bit as you can see from the photos. Comes with a load of half worn pads, and 4 x new pads in there. Dunno where the noodles have gone.
