Pinnacle Ramin One for sale - sold.

Post by Jurassic »

I've reluctantly come to the conclusion that I no longer need my Ramin as I use my fat bike with 29er wheels for bikepacking duties now.
It's a 2017 size large and has quite a few upgrades from standard. It has Rockshox Gold 30 forks (fairly basic air fork with lockout) but would also come with the original CroMo rigid forks that have cargo cage mounts on them as well. The transmission is 2x9 with a Deore chainset and BB and XT mechs and shifters. Brakes are 2 pot XTs. Seat post and stem are Thomson with a Charge saddle and PX fake loop bars. Wheels are Shimano rear hub, Joytech front on Alex rims set up tubeless with Conti X-King 2.4s on (29ers obviously).
I've only used the bike for bikepacking and occasionally commuting to work so it's in great condition other than the odd cable rub, luggage strap rub and scratch. I'm looking for offers around £500 for it, much lower and I'll just keep it and put it in the loft with all the other bikes that live up there!

Here's some pictures (finally!) The bike would come with the original CroMo rigid forks, the lower headset race to suit, a spare upper race and the lowers service kit for the Rockshox forks (all pictured at the end).

Mate that looks great. But £500 ... way too cheap. Stick it on eBay and dont accept anything under £900, maybe more. Good bikes are going for more than their original selling price right now. Gotta factor in the sellers fees but you might be able to wrangle an off-eBay negotiation.
I'm just going outside ...

Ha, thanks. I have mixed feelings about selling it tbh. I don't really need the money, it's more about freeing up some space. There's been some enquiries already on here (by PM) and I think I'd be happy to see it go to a fellow Boner at that price. It's also advertised elsewhere for more money. I'm thinking that I won't let it go for less than advertised otherwise I'll just ransack it for parts for Mrs Jurassic's bike and put the remains in the loft.

Almost certainly, probably verging on provisionally sold.
