Shimano XM9s 44 or 9.5

Post by Escape Goat »

As much as I love how warm these boots are, I can't get the cleat far enough back. This doesn't affect normal people but I'm not normal. Cleats in a "normal" position puts strain on my patella.

Anyways, bought these off Alex for £59 including postage. So they're for sale for the same price.

Bloody good shoe. My feet were super toasty during the frost.

Pictures tonight.

Cheers!

I don't want them Allan - I'm a 46 otherwise I would as mine are dropping to bits; but I had the same issue and managed to lengthen the slots with a dremel by about 6mm which made them work for me.

I'm interested, if you decide against carving the slot open.
How much hove they had? Have you tested the waterproofing?

Did it affect the waterproofing? I didn't even think about that as an option.

I've tested the waterproofing and they're still waterproof.

I'm very keen on actually keeping them knowing someone has already done t his before.

You haven't got a picture have you of your adjustment?

I went a bit mad with the slots which resulted in the cleats poking into the insole so I moved them forward a bit. The liner remained intact and the boots are still water proof. I was very careful doing it but you could slide back the cleat inner plate to prevent any chance of the dremel punching through the liner.

Perfect. Thanks so much. I'll do this to them, they're great for the winter.
