Pinnacle Ramin 3+ Large (SOLD)

Post by Specialist Hoprocker »

I'm, selling my Ramin 3+ to make space for a new bike.

If you're looking at this you probably know a little about these bikes but here is a quick run down:

- Ideal bike packer.
- Alu frame, steel forks.
- Cage mounts on fork legs, downtube (2 x top, 1 x bottom).
- Eccentric bottom bracket that can tension a singlespeed set-up and alter BB height to accommodate 27.5" or 29" wheel size. The good thing is the actually BB itself is a standard threaded fit.

I've spent a long time getting the set-up perfect on this, so here is what you're getting:

- Velocity 29er front rim with Maxxis Chronicle 29 x 3.0 tyre. Hop QR hub. New bearings.
- Spare Love Mud Rumpus 27.5 from wheel with Specialized Purgatory 27.5 x 3.0 tyre.
- Love Mud Rumpus rear rim with Maxxis Chronicle 27.5 x 3.0 tyre. Very new Shimano XT rear QR hub.
- Spare Specialized Purgatory 27.5 x 3.0 tyre.
- Shimano 1 x 10 drivetrain (Hollowtech Deore cranks and BB, XT mech).
- Hope 34t front ring.
- Shimano 11-42 cassette.
- Charge Spoon saddle.
- Ritchie 30deg rise, 60mm stem.
- Ragley Wiser Riser bars (cut to 740mm I think)
- Shimano hydraulic brakes (SLX rear. Deore front).
- Shimano rotors (180 front, 160 rear)..
- Spare mech hanger.
- Custom front rack.
- DMR V8 pedals (new pins)

The good:

- The mixed wheel size is the best of both worlds. If you don't like it you can always put the spare front wheel back on.
- It is set-up and ready to go.
- Tyres haven't seen much use, so lots of tread.

The bad:

- It's been well used. Nothing wrong with the frame but it's lost a bit of paint here and there, there's scratches and some wheel rub on the inside of the chainstays. But you won't notice when it's covered in bags and mud!
- It'll need a new cassette fairly soon.

Looking for £650.

Bike is in Farnham, Surrey.

Obviously pick-up etc. will be covid secure and socially distant. I would really prefer not to post but will do so at buyers cost.

Lots of pics right here: https://photos.app.goo.gl/6Ht9LAe9MiBJj6hn6

Here's a taster:

Edited to remove Jones bars (forgot I'd left them on the ad, sorry).

I’d be interested in the front wheel if a buyer decides not to run it with both wheel sizes or if you decide to sell it separately or even just the Maxxis Chronicle tyre

Cheers Gary

Clink - is your Stooge non-boost? Just wondering if you bought the frame from me you could swap wheels over as needed?

I'd like it to go to you if possible as you were after one for so long!

Partly the reason I deleted my request to be next in line. Would be interested to see how much you was planning yo sell just the frame for aswell (obviously if Clink don't want it)...

Haha! Well I've got interest in the the front wheel already, and now the frame so a split is looking increasingly likely!

Although I remember having a right struggle finding a cheap way to send a frame before.

Parcelforce fairly reasonable to post a frame, circa £10-£12

Does the jones loop bars and front rack come with it... only asking cos it shows a ragley in the pic?? Also, whats the chance you could do £600 collected at buyers cost/time... so you might not even need to pack it up??

Last question... will it fit me at me being 5ft10.5 and a medium in Sondee Transmitter carbon flavoir...

 the more I look at it, the more I want it

Mainly the 'JamesO' heritage and the 'clink sought it for over a year' factors that make me lust/want more..

Not a lot of clearance! More than a fag paper but... On 45mm internal diameter rims. Works fine so long as you don't pump the tyres up too hard.

Front rack is a Basil Portland Front Carrier that I've cut down. It works really well using the lower fork bolt. I can still attached the fork cages.

I'd be interested in the rack if the postage didn't work out ridiculous.

NB. I'm a long distance commute/worker. So - not to worry - won't be breaking any rules to get it as I plan to be in the vicinity anyway (still working on that but rest assured)...
