WTD: budget bits for a secret santa budget build

Post by BobCatMax »

I'm secretly building an old kona hahanna for my neighbour as she bought her daughter a bike for Xmas but doesn't have one herself.

I'm on the hunt for 1 & 1/8 headset, 68mm shell 110mm spindle Square taper BB. Cassette, chain, mech and shifter(s) of matching speeds (although I do have 8spd cassettes coming out of my ears) I was thinking she'll only need a 1x setup and was thinking 7, 8 or 9 speed. 27.0 mm seat post.

Got lots of swaps or cash waiting

Ta for the help

Think I might have the headset you need, I will check on Boxing Day. You can have for a donation to the Bear

Cool, I’ll give em a bit of a clean as they’re quite grubby😊😄

Trawling through all my spares, tryi g out 4 different BBs before relenting and looking up the size online. I am also decidedly grubby!

Actually I’ve got a Deore chainset in a box too if that helps? Full disclosure I files the inner tabs for it to fit an ebb adapter so is basically 1x, it does have a ring on it though. If I’m posting a box I may as well go all in right:)?
