Wtd: cranks and brakes

Post by Al »

Trying to put a drop bar build together with not much money.
I’m missing a double Mtb chainset and some cable disc brakes.
Anyone got anything they’d like to move on?

Hi, I’ve got a pair of hayes cx mechanical calipers and two spare sets of pads. Happy to sell for £25 posted. Let me know if these are of any interest.

Does it have to be a MTB crankset? I've a 36-46 CX double

Cheers for the offers, will pass on the brakes as I’ve had a pretty negative experience with Hayes ones before.
And yes after a mtb double as planning on running 24-38 rings.

I've got a SLX M7000 triple chainset, currently 40-30-22 rings if any good?

Cheers but being a total Luddite I’m going to steer away from funny new asymmetric bolt patterns as long as I can

I've got some Deore LX HT2 crank arms that you're welcome to for cost of postage, no chainrings though.

Cheers - literally just acquired an old XT triple (probably similar age?) which will do until a proper double comes along.

Sadly not - I took them off the cranks to go 1x10
