FS Carradice saddlebag

Post by redefined_cycles »

The saddle is a Spa Cycles Nidd and not broken in yet. £23 posted. I've added a ziptie as I read it helps stability and i reckon it did. Stopped it flaring at the bottom

The saddle bag is a Carradice Nelson with surface rust. Its a vintage classic and everything works fine. With the above saddle or similar and you'd not need an extra cage thingy from Carradice. Otherwise to use on standard saddle there is an adaptor that would be required which doesn't come with. £31 posted

It's either 9 or 12L and I'd have thought 12 as it holds quite alot of gear.

Quarter of the proceeds will go to feedbear

Combined and I could do both at £40 posted. Would have sold cheaper but need to buy another top tube bag with these proceeds :-bd

Both items still for sale. For the record I bought the set in one of Tonys 'bargain basement' deals. But I can't sell back on (except to him, for moral reasons i feel) at that price. As the £40 combined would allow me to feed the bear properly (tenner) as well as post tge items properly without too much Hermes faff (another £7 to £12 dependent on if the postmaster allows the weight to go as 2nd class signed or I'd have to use Parecelforce 48).

Off course if I was able to drop in person (and there was a coffee going) I might knock off the postage part of my price makeup :-bd

I wondered what was going on there...!

Don’t worry Shaf, the prices look cheap anyway, and I’d be interested in the saddle if I had a bike to put it on.

Saddle is ace but once I removed it i realised its a hindrance on a gravel DH bike. That Carradice amazing too especially for CoOp but can't afford an extra adaptor (or the storage space) to keep an extra saddlepack..

Btw, Asterton Bank definitively harder uphill than Rosedale (but not down due to brake fade)

I'll take the saddle if it's still available please Shaf. Got to be worth giving a leather saddle another shot at that price. I've read good things about those Spa saddles. Will PM you.

Yup... it treated me well and only removed for a ride to London as it was 300g shaved. Then realised the thinner replacement was easier for CXing/DHgravel...
