Retro scott comp single speed - high spec and on trend

Post by ad3000 »

Reviving this ad as bikepacking on a retro 26er becomes an in-thing on my instagram feed, maybe others as well?

Selling this bike that has been inhabiting various attics of houses I have lived in over the past decade. I have acquired some rather marvelous parts for it during that decade to create the magical bicycle presented to you here. Am after £350 collected from cambridge area after lockdown (?) and after fees (paypal etc).

Lots of pics on my google drive here: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/ ... sp=sharing
  • Scott comp frame, from 1992! 17.5" - ritchey tubing, nice lugs and welds. Scuffed in places but would shine up well. I am 5'11 and it is currently setup for me in pic.
Wonderful conditiion Hope fatsno (f) and Screw on hubs (see the bottom of this page: https://www.hopetech.com/product-documents/hubs/)
Mavix xc517 rims - spectacular condition
Middleburn RS8 cranks with 34T ring
    Surly singulator
    Hope headset
    Kinsesis forks
    Kona curve cantilever brakes
Ritchey seatpost and stem (not thomson as in majority of pics)
Tioga saddle - fabric glued on underneath where it peeled away a little
    Saracen handlebars
    Sram chain
    Halo twinrail tyres
Room for improvement on the grips and rear straddle cable, currently using a brake cable but it does the job just fine

Pedals are not included
