Niche longshot WTD - dual freewheel? (dinglespeed)

Post by jameso »

Been rebuilding my old Day One SS again, idle hands etc. What it really needs is a dinglespeed set up but it has a screw-on rear hub. Anyone got a dinglespeed freewheel from the old days that they want to move on?

Nope, but asking Shona and Rich would be my suggestion.

I assume you've seen the listing on ebay from the US James: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/White-Indust ... xyVLNS30DV

I think it'd be cheaper to put a nice 2 speed hub on it instead
May the bridges you burn light your way

I've got one of those White Industries Dos 2 speed freewheels on an original horizontal dropout Scandal which I've called "The Quattro" (Life on Mars reference) as it also has a 34/36 chainset so 4 gear ratio options without a tensioner. I bought the freehub from a place in Llandrindod Wells but a quick google reveals stock at Starbike Germany, bit spendy but they make a beautiful clicking noise.

Good news, I've remembered the name of the shop, it's Hubjub. Bad news, they've no stock.

One of the rarer 16/19 WI double freewheels popped up on the Fatbike selling page a couple weeks ago for £40(!). Scud sent me a link, but it sold almost straight away
