FS: Borah Gear Bivy bag

Post by redefined_cycles »

A bit broke and poorly so selling this will see me through a few days of sicknesss :-bd

I bought it off one of the Bonafidas off here (thanks again) and used it twice. Apparently these is not waterproof but water resist (or is it the bottom material is waterproof and the top is just resistant I can't remember properly).

Not sure how much use it had before me but looked immaculate including the zipper and the midge net mesh. On the 2 occassions I did use it I had it balanced (it is a right balancing act unless you put some silicone or something like that - theres a thread regards this subject - here and there) on my inflated mat. There's a nack to not sliding off  ... I think.

Anyway. Weight is 206g with its bag and I think 196g without the bag...

Hi there Shafiq,
Have you any idea of which model it is and is it big enough to get your mat inside too?
Cheers, Adam.

The Thermarwst Neoair is (I believe) a medium/standard size. 5ft11 it is (or 181cm if you're a roadie).

The zipper comes across the mesh/face section and straight down and ends where the corner of the calc is (or between the phone and calculator in below pic...) :-bd

Whilst taking the pics I've jusy noticed some tiny dabs of what seems to be clear silicone of some sort splattered (tiny dots/not really dots and thats why I called them splattered... but they're not really spatters either*) on the black/top side. Not sure why they are on that side as its the top... maybe last owner (I think Mart) had planned to sleep in it with the mesh side down... anyway, now you know. It's not enough dots (tiny splatters) to cause much grip anyway :geek:

*At least I got my 'they're' right

Price dropped to £68 as its more like a communal bivy and for the confusing paragraph :-bd
