Wtd 8speed shifters

Finishing my daughters bike. Have an almost new 8speed chain and cassette but no shifters.

Has anyone got any old shimano sti / thumb shifters / gripshift they don’t want or need anymore kicking round in the parts drawer?

Pretty sure I've an lx brake/shifter combo. Might be so old as to be for canti brakes but I can probably find a converter.

Thanks for the offers- a thorough investigation of the garage reveals I don’t actually have the wealth of old 8 speed parts I thought I did so a change of tactics is in order!

No worries. I’ve just had a similar time with 9 speed stuff building a bike for a friend
