I've got one that I'm not using...could do with some TLC, but it is usable. Happy to give it a new home. Where are you Huw? It's far to heavy to post.

[Edit: It's a Minoura VFS-G fluid + mag model]

Morning

Thanks for getting in touch. I’m in Porthcawl, South Wales. Sound like it’d be cost prohibitive to post. Let’s see what turns up over the next few days.

Failing that I could buy new. Does anyone have one they could recommend please?

@Huw...I'm happy to give this one away...but you'll need to come for a spin to Shrops to pick it up.

if you can pack it up securely parcel2go will let you find a cheap shipping option.
I've sent some massive heavy parcels for really reasonable cost.
Example
Parcel: 18kg, 60x60x60cm
Carrier: DPD drop shop, next day delivery
Cost: £10

Thanks for the pointer. Someone would have to pick this up as I don't have a car and my only other option would be to sit it on the bike and walk it into a town. That could be a fun proposition of its own...balancing a heavy box on a top tube for a 10 mile walk. :)

I’m grateful for the offer but Shropshire’s a bit too far. I’ll keep hunting...

All the best

Ok two options

1. I can collect from shropshire if its near Knighton as i am doing the trans wales next week and then deliver to near the Gower as I am doing the ride there with my kids in very early august

2. i can do the same but provide a Tacx Flow and computer control unit [ unopened and unused] which will be considerably more than free - though i can deliver it for free

review of the one i have - bets its done less than 100 miles as i hate it

Hmm very interesting indeed. Thanks for the offer of collecting from Shropshire & delivering to me, much appreciated.

I’ve got limited time on the bike so maybe something newer may be better depending on price, let’s have a chat.

PM me when you get 5.

All the best.

Sorry Huw...the turbo found a new home and is being picked up on Sunday. But thanks for chiming in Laz. That was mighty kind.

Know someone sell one.
Halifax based, so dont know if that works for location

As a side note, i'm unsure if a turbo would really help for the BB200.

I cant resist any longer... it doesn't have to be a turbo to train for the BB200, just anything that weights about the same as a bike and is awkward to carry, a dining table would do? All you then need is a tussocky bog and a trackless mountain, you then carry/push/drag said object along the bog and up the mountain, preferably in the dark and when it's raining, and repeat until you loose the will to live  If you can also find a location with head height bracken this will help to fine tune your direction finding skills.

 was thinking much the same thing! Maybe one of those step trainers would be better!

Anyway, if you're still after one, I have a turbo in its box in my garage somewhere. I'm near Monmouth so not so far away - I'll have a look later tonight to remind me what make and model it is (fairly basic, no electronic gadgetry). Won't be free but equally, won't be silly expensive.

Nothing flash required. Hopefully it’ll be a goer.

OK, it's an Elite Crono Fluid Elastogel purchased new in January 2014 - it has seen very little use really and has been boxed for the last three and a half years since I last moved house!
I'd let it go for £50 if you're interested; maybe meet up somewhere like Cardiff West Services / M4 Jnct.33 to exchange?
