BB30 adapters - Wheels manufacturing

Post by biggaygibbon »

Have two sets of these for sale - had them on old Cannondale MTBs and no longer needed as flogged the bikes with original cranks

Might be interested in a pair. Just need to dredge the back of my mind and see if I can remember whether I need BB30 or PF ... if the memory fails me, I'll resort to measuring :-bd

I’ve used the same adapters on my old Spearfish with PFbb30 - you just pop those into the bearings on your frame and fit HollowTech cranks. Doesn’t really matter if the frame is BB30 or PFbb30..?

Yes, but if you put some gravel tyres on it and call it an adventure bike it will suddenly stop working

The bearings themselves are same size in bb30 and pf30. 6806 if I recall correctly. The adaptors should work in both absolutely fine. Just a case of getting the spacing right so as to not overload the bearings.

Sorry for the confusion, I hadn't realised these were sleeves to reduce the I/D of PF bearings rather than a way of doing away with them.

They fit road or MTB - they are simply an adapter to convert from BB30 to Shimano. - you just use the Shimano spacers you already use to
Easy to fit as here:
