Kinesis FF29
Hi all
The garage seems to be bulging at the seams with bikes at the moment, so its time for a clear out of bikes and various parts over the coming weeks.
First up is a Kinesis FF29 I bought a couple of years ago, its had limited use over the past year following a shoulder injury, I now need something with a bit more squish.
Overall the bike is in great condition, I’ve used the bike for bikepacking a few times which has led to a few rub marks around the usual areas which are reflected in the photos.
Details below:
Frame: Kinesis FF 29 Large/Orange
Fork: X Fusion Slide Two Nine
Front Wheel: Mavic TN719 + Deore Hub (Black)
Rear Wheel: Mavic TN719 + Hope Hub (Silver)
Tyres: Schwalbe Nobby Nic 2.1 Tubeless
Brakes: Shimano Deore
Bar : On One El Guapo Ancho with Ergon GX1
Stem: Race Face 70mm Stem
Cranks: Shimano XT
Pedals: Shimano XT
Rear Mech: Shimano XT (Clutch Mech)
Cassette: Shimano XT 11-42
Saddle: Madison Flux Saddle with Hope Seat Clamp
Seat Post: Race Face
Bottle Cage: Bontrager

I’m based in Cheshire, right next to Delamere Forest.
I travel back to West Yorkshire on a regular basis so can meet along the way.
Or I’m happy to post.
Bargain price of £450.

Hi Nick
Funny how a 6 month contract turns in to 2 years :-/
Be great to catch up! Maybe we can try and tie a ride up with Steve soon.
All the best

Re: Kinesis FF29
This is a bargain. I was close to buying one of these before getting my Solaris
I'd be tempted to go for it if I didn't already have 2 29ers

Re: Kinesis FF29
It is a bargain if I do say so myself!
I was hoping to buy a Solaris myself at the time and this popped up at a good price.
I've since collected a couple more bikes and this isn't getting anywhere the use to justify keeping it, despite it being a cracking bike.

Re: Kinesis FF29
What are your body dimensions Mike? Height mostly.
I suspect this might be a bit large for me. I'm half in the market for a 29er, maybe, I think, at this price though - it's silly to not enquire!

Re: Kinesis FF29
I am on a medium FF29.
It is about spot on for me at 5'10'' with a 31'' inside leg.
I run a 70mm stem and have approx 270mm of seat post showing.
The seat tube angle on these is 74 degrees so having a fair bit of seat post showing doesn't throw the seated position back too far.
For £450 that is a bargain but only if it fits.

Mbnut is pretty much spot on.
I'm 5ft 11 with a 32 inch inside leg, with a lot less seat post showing.
Running a short stem the fit has been ideal for me, I've ridden a couple of 100 mile days without any niggles.

Re: Kinesis FF29
hmm, balls, think it's too big for me (thought it might be).
I'm 5ft 10.5, but 30 inside leg - I can generally swap between medium and large coz of my longer upper body - but think if I'm going hardtail 29er, I'd like to be able to throw it around a bit more. I'm not really passing close to you anytime soon either to have a look.
As you were.
