Lakeland 200 28 June.

Post by Richpips »

A bit short notice, but I'm going up to do the Lakeland 200 this weekend.

I'll be aiming to get round, not at race speed, if anyone would care to join me.

If it wasn't this weekend, I'd be up for this.

As it stands, looking at doing this in August, so it would be interesting to see how you get on. Are you riding it with Alan?

Setting off at 4am with Alan and Craig. Alan is aiming to ride a lot faster than I am.

Sorry about the faff this morning - need a new alarm clock!

It only go worse, with the new free hub engagement failing after 10k - than you American Classic. with no bike shops open in Ambleside until 0900 I decided to abandon and push home… Gutted!

Hope it went well for the two of you - looked like a great day to do it after all the dry weather we have had lately.

Nice to meet you briefly. Sorry to hear of the mechanical.

I got round.

Alan texted me to say once it became clear he wouldn't beat his previous best that he'd take an alternative route. he still did over 200K though.
