Torino Nice 2022

Post by Fantombiker »

Planning to do this event this September. Hate the idea of flying so planning to drive down, anybody interested to share driving and fuel costs? Drive down to Turin and then do the ride and then train back to start...

Doing it as part of the official event? I thought it was full to capacity?

You thinking of the Tuscany Trail Stu?

James put something on Twitter which implied it was going ahead.

I was a bit confused about the official TNR! it seems there was an event organiser which was charging money for what appeared to be nothing? I thought the concept was an informal gathering, but why pay any money to an event organiser. Equally possibly I've got the wrong end of the stick :)

Anyway the route looks really good and with good weather should be amazing views.

I think the fee is to just place a bit of commitment on the riders to turn up, there's also a practical limit on numbers with a 'group ride'.
Bar an advised minimum, the fee amount is up to you & has previously been donated to Smart Shelter-

The latest Tuscany Trail with thousands of riders it isn't!

If this is about the early Sept TNR event the entry's not open yet, hopefully it'll be up/open soon.

The event is non profit and the £1 fee in past years was to formalise a terms of entry so we know where we stand if you crash or cause an accident.
The other amount is a suggested min amount donated directly by you to SSF in return for an event patch and the rally card, the card gives you full premium komoot access if you're interested. The donation / patch+card is optional, not s condition of entry. The event is run in aid of SSF.

My mistake. I'd (wrongly) assumed that entries had carried over from the 'Covid years'
