As probably the first person to get home, can I just say - that was rubbish..

No mud. No thunderstorms. No wind. No punctures. No mechancals. No angry farmers. No midnight bivvy aggro... We barely even got lost ffs.. Honestly. If I'd wanted to ride gloriously dusty trails in the sun with nice people I would have gone to Spain or summat... Very dissapointed.

I've got a new waterproof and I put it on for about 5 minutes on Friday morning when packing up my bivi but it was just a tiny bit of drizzle that lasted a few minutes.

Went all the way to Wales to test it and no rain. Jane said they had thunderstorms here so should have stayed at home

On the ride back from the ferry I had water over the hubs at times due to the flooding but I only got caught in the rain for the last few minutes. A months worth of rain fell in 4 hours on the Island, by the looks of it, it was the 4 hours immediately before i got back :o
