Tried searching for Birches but googlefu is not working. Can I get a link to its where-a-boots?

And is the likely bivvy spot likely to have trees so I am likely to be able to swing a hammock from? No drama if not as I'll be quite happy in my new-to-me Duomid

Birches is shorthand for Birches Valley Visitor’s Centre WS15 2UQ. That isn’t a good spot to leave the car overnight though and they charge 8 quid a day parking but happens to be the spot we met up last time.

Steve I'll be driving up the M40 so will basically be coming past your place so could pick you up on the way if you feel like a lift. Will leave the hammock at home too.

Thanks Paul. That'd be ace. Not looking for anything marathonic given my fitness/fatness but a few hours ride to the meet up would be very welcome. Will PM Steve to see if he wants a lift and if could be three of us. Let you know.

I meant 45 minutes, not 3 to 4 hours :)

I’ve done about an hour of cycling since last July due to two dodgy ankles and family stuff so I’m going to be going slow and steady

 . Going to try for a midweek slot and see if that's permitted now that next few weekends are written off.

Went to the horns to see about booking, told her 7 poss 8 people, she said we will need 2 tables, and would have to confirm by Tuesday am, better tomorrow if i can, it's changed hands and is very busy nowadays,
So provisionally booked 2 tables for 19.45pm only slot left if I confirm tomorrow i have to pay a deposit for it,
Are we all happy with this, cater for veggies and vegans as well
it's not that I can and others can't, it's that I will and others won't.

Is anyone bothering with a brew kit/breakfast or shall we aim for a cafe first thing? Someone mentioned we'll need to be up and gone very early so I'm wondering if it's worth the hassle (and the extra bag I have to strap on)

In my case it'll depend on the weather - if its like today, i'll just pack my lightweight bivvy which takes up 1/4 of the space of my tent so there'll be plenty of room for my stove.
