Appologies to Chris after obviously putting in a fair bit of effort into plotting my GR's.
That's a shame, but don't forget there are no rules and you can do this any 2 days between now and the clock changing.
I've not had any GRs yet. Any chance someone could rustle some up for me?
Hi Andy... Can you PM me... I will try and rustle up some this eve or tomorrow eve?? Dont forget to include yourarea you wanna stay within please...
Thanks shaf, just seen your message too.

If your area is Hull and surrounding I could do them.
Know some interesting spots.
Thanks that would be great. 30km radius of Pearson park would.be perfect.
Andy.

Ok
Will do some tonight.

Having read the latest announcement for Scotland, I’m probably going to delay my VWE, nice route planned could do it all in a day at a push but probably wouldn’t be prudent. I’ll have a look closer to Friday and maybe split it into two day rides. Exercise rules don’t seem to have changed yet apart from limiting numbers.

Please follow the laws of the land where you live.

I posted this on another thread too...
Travel no further than you need to reach to a safe, non-crowded place to exercise in a socially distanced way.

Boris has spoken......

England joining Wales and Scotland in full lockdown from Wednesday

Stay at home
Don't take any risks
Protect the NHS.......

We still await the official government guidelines on gov.com

But as of now I'm sorry to say that with this new information we cannot encourage anyone to do over night stays away from home (your own gardens, sheds, garages and private bothies  etc are ok if you are willing to take the risk and do this ride with you taking full responsibility for yourself and your safety) while this lock down is in place.
Even riding and socialising (as cyclists do) with other cyclists from outside of your bubble should only be done to the government guidelines that are still to be publish.

From gov.uk (So, covering England)

Staying away from home overnight
You cannot leave your home or the place where you are living for
holidays or overnight stays unless you have a reasonable excuse for
doing so. This means that holidays in the UK and abroad are not
allowed.

● outdoor exercise. This should be done locally wherever
possible, but you can travel a short distance within your area
to do so if necessary (for example, to access an open space)

Guidelines are in
https://assets.publishing.service.gov.u ... idance.pdf

From the article
Exercise You can continue to exercise alone, with one other
person or with your household or support bubble. This should be
limited to once per day, and you should not travel outside your
local area.
You should maintain social distancing. See exercising
and meeting other people.

Sorry all, but I think we need to cancel this weekend and try and get our full rides done this spring.

This weekend why not ride to your 2 or 3 or 4 closest GR's and post up pictures with a witty comment to Boris

Will probably get the nearest one's to me over the weekend. As Wales has been in a lockdown since 20th December, I wasn't that confident at getting my loop done. I only said last night in a chat that it'll be a good one to do in the spring......

Maybe we could cycle past each other on a prom somewhere and just happen to stop to drink flasks of our own coffee 2 metres apart sometime 😂.

Chew the fat, put the world to rights and something to try and stave off the negative mental health monsters...

Absolutely. Helen and I had a lovely walk from Babbacombe to back home on Sunday eyeballing the cruise liners. There’s still plenty to do and Paignton Pier does chips

I promised my wife and daughter that I was sleeping in the garden this weekend, so it's either that, or the sofa. When I go out being a #DitchSleeper, they watch a movie together in our bed. So I'm still planning a couple of short rides on each day, but probably in daylight, rather than late/early. I may stick the Quasar up, rather than the Lanshan, why not go palatial when in the garden...
There are theories at the bottom of my jargon.

Pretty much my thoughts while i was watching the announcement.

I'm aiming to do the GRs that could legitimately be described as "local" and camp in the garden just for the hell of it.

I might just get the turbo out, dust it down and watch the football on television whilst pedaling, then sleep in the garden.
I also have a serious case of CBA.

The coffee is good in the kiosk opposite too. I have a coffee there every Friday morning when I am delivering bread.

I realized yesterday that the petrol station about 100 yards from my house still does hot takeaway breakfast rolls and stuff, I shall partake this weekend during/ after my ride for that authentic bikepacking feel...
