Have they finished work on the Red Hut yet?
No where near finished I’m afraid. I passed that way in September
Work was only just getting started when Covid stopped play.

Materials delivered and footings for the toilet block atthe back have been dug (late 2019) then they had to wait for spring to do any more, then it’s just been on hold for 2020

It’s just going to take much more time. They way this year is planning out already I wouldn’t bank on it being finished for Sept. so much still to be done

Just a quick update to confirm that there will NOT be a group start in May this year.

However, if anyone is after trail reports, a list of what's open etc in order to prepare for an individual/private group ride then I'm always contactable.

I'll be looking at the calendar for a September date.

Ok, thanks Colin. Was hoping you were running it but understand this is probably the sensible option!

Yeah, we thought about it but just worried about the "optics"... and the risk that dates for relaxation of restrictions slip. I'm guessing that there will be a flood of events later in the year too.
