Thank you so much. I'm hoping I get to ride it next year. It would be much easier than the 16 hour days and 540 miles driven in the van over the weekend. I missed the Pizzas and the breakfasts too
Thanks for the flapjack mate

Best post on the thread ;)

What I find intriguing is we're on 103 replies in this thread and the WRT threads generally get about 2 replies. Curious why that is. Actually, and no dis to this event, but I rather like the eccentricity of the 2-reply WRT threads.

Also the event has happened and we're still posting in the 'not happened yet' forum. Must be some weird temporal anomaly swirly-whirly timey-wimey thing going on.

And, again no dis because obviously this is a nice event, but I challenge someone to come up with an event that does not have the cliche zeroes on the end of its name. The M25 98km Zig-Zag? The going-round-and-round-in-circles-for-16-miles event?

The zeroes are getting worn out. One day we'll wake up and there'll be none left and then where will events be? They're not making any more of them. It's like meeting someone at 9 o'clock, or half past ten. Give those other minutes a break eh? Seventeen minutes past for example. Incredibly rare and underused.

Reminds me of Coogan and Brydon in The Trip. "To battle!! We rise at dawn!!!". Why? That's a bit specific. Surely better "some time just before breakfast"? 8.30? No, how about 9 ish? "Ish" - again, hugely under-rated. What is this obsession with round numbers and exact times?

Embrace the vague.
