Grand Rando - New Forest - 4/5 July

Post by JimH »

Has anyone attended this before? Run by Woods Cyclery in the new forest, appears to be a series of off road trails with camping, beer and live music.

No but they probably could have picked a better weekend if they're hoping to attract bikepackers.

I've been before as social relaxed way of exploring the new forest, also have a lot of time for the guys at Woods Cyclery so it's a fun event all round.
I guess its more for the fancy coffee/cake gravel crowd than anything bikepacking, but equally this years dates have not worked out well.

This seems to be a couple problem.. date clashing/proximity

How did you find out about this? I can only find scant details online about the 2019 event. Might be interested as it’s a lot easier to get to then the Lakes for me.

From their FB page Craig
The ‘Grand Rando’ is coming! 🏕
.
4th and 5th of July 2020! More gravel, more beer, more music, more bikes, more food and more good times! ⚡️
We like to think of it as a gravel mini festival. There’s a tough as hell route if you want it 💀but there’s easy route options suitable for anyone who can pedal a bike too! 🙌🏻
.
Save the date and look out for the first batch of tickets to go online and in store soon!
