Fat Bikes & it doesn't count to your BAM.... but

Post by JohnClimber »

Sorry, I'd better put this in the correct section of the forum

------------------------------------------------------------------

Jeff Price is leading this years North Wales Global Fat (GFBD) Bike Day ride.

The history... Us Brit's invented Fat Bike Day... But those dam Yanks hijacked it and claimed it as their own....
They always do it on the first Saturday of December.... and us Brit's have accepted their control (like our NHS if the Conservatives get in again  ) and we go with the flow and do exactly what they tell us.......

Anyway I digress...
If you have a Fat Bike (nothing skinnier than 3.8" need apply) the idea is that you get out and ride it on Saturday 7th December, its as simple as that...Post up on social media (if you want to) with the hastag #GFBD to show that you've been out on your Fat Bike on GFBD.

But if you fancy an over nighter you are more than welcome to come and join us at a private* Bothy in North Wales, leaving Conwy at noon on Saturday 7th December (2 weeks away).

This is the bothy/cottage

But please note, it WON'T count towards your BAM as it will cost you £12 for the overnight stop over.

This was Jeff's last ride up to it so you can see what it's all about

Several of us are riding up but there are 3 places inside spare.
First come first served....

More so if you want to camp outside.

PS, Jeff has volunteered to pre-take up your beers, so get your order in quickly.

All you will need is your food and sleeping bag, everything else is up there, it's 5 star comfort.

So please post up ASAP if you fancy joining us.

I was planning a few days out on the fatty around the Eigiau area that weekend, if timings work I’ll knock on the door and say hi.
Much depends on the weather and if I can get up that hill to the car park
