Start a thread about it on here and people will probably join you.

How fast you thinking of doing it if you want company or failing that what he said and see you at the start.

I might be up for a start paul, too slow to race it but might have a go at a potter round

After my partial highland trail tour I've got delusions of grandeur so I'm going to try and do a sub 24 hour Peak 200 starting Tuesday morning. If that goes well Im going to try and ITT the Cairngorms loop.
Not quite sure when though, potentially the weekend of the 21st September, but depends massively on what my unwritten off duty is which I won't know until mid July.

I'm in the same boat. Really enjoyed riding all day on the Tuscany trail, though I didn't exactly rough it

If the stars (family commitments) align I'd be up or a start on that date. I have to say though, if the weather looks like the May start I'll likely not drive up.

We should get the old gang together for a social peak ride soon too.

Dave, yeah... Scotland is a top 'to do' list. Fills me with excitement and fear all at the same time (lots of fear). I bet theres not really many resupply points enroute so most people would carry a massive chunk of the days/2 days food with them...

You pass Aviemore twice and there's a 24hr supermarket there. Shops in Tomintoul and Braemar. Other eateries en route too. I'll try to put together a list.

Logistically it’s a great route with loads of options.

After the May snowfest, I'm up for a return to complete unfinished business. Ain't going to be fast or pretty but need to get it done.

What dates are folk thinking of? Threads about other "events" are slowly convincing me....

The website states 31st August group start, that's when me and Phil F-T are heading up

I hope to be up Scotland way for a month this Aug/Sept. First trip will be the Great Glen Way then maybe this one.

I was through Feshie yesterday (see the Todays Ride thread). There are more changes to the official route as the estate are replacing and repairing some of the worst bits. I've sent Steve an email and he's asked me to send him a GPX file of the new line(s).

We did the outer loop at the weekend (and had a beer with ScotRoutes, cheers!) as our first bikepacking trip.

Conditions were really good with the only issues:
- missed the route climb out of Glen Brown and ended up going North rather than East for a mile or so, then backtracked.
- Old Fire Station café in Tomintoul was a bit naff, but there is another opposite
- the singletrack into Glen Tilt is hard work if you've panniers (my pal on his old On One 456 Summer Season).

And that's it on the negatives, so recommend the route totally but really wouldn't fancy it in cold weather with the sheer number of fords.

I used my Planet X Full Monty and soft luggage, very happy with my choice (over either my HT or FS).

Stayed in Aviemore YHA and the Moorfield Hotel (YHA full, highly recommended) in Braemar.

Think this suits me.

Scotroutes, I have the food and beer stops mapped out . Furrybreeks is showing an interest too.

The Bank Holiday weekend is the 24/25th August, not the 31st August.

I am thinking of having a crack over the 24/25th weekend as it looks like I will have a passout!!

Interesting to see the water levels at feshie on sepa after the storm this week, wonder if there much change.

Water levels in the area are still low.

No need to worry about the Feshie in particular - the route only crosses it at Feshie Bridge.

I am planning to ride the Cairngorm loop the weekend of 31st Aug. Hopefully as part of the group start but if that doesn't go ahead for whatever reason then I'll do it as an ITT. Would prefect the group start for some banter and tracks to follow....

Heads up!

Just found out that there is a gig being played at "Food in the Park" in Blair Atholl on 31st. That might make parking a little more problematic, especially if they close off the car park beside the Visitors Centre.

So, who is still in for this?
Has anyone heard from Steve W?
