Feb 23 - Lower Chilterns Shed Night (Playing with Fire)

Post by TheBrownDog »

I've got permission to have a few mates up at the horse yard in the back field shed. It's got a big door and a big window and a hole in the roof, so a bivvy bag will be needed if it's windy and wet. Otherwise, a mat and bag and sense of humour are all you need.

Halfarsedunderthought plan is to meet somewhere near Seer Green, 15-20 miles of riding and getting to the yard about 730-8pm. Upon which, we shall get a fire going and cook stuff. I'll bring the sausages.

Anyone up for this?

If my wrist is in better form by then (fingers crossed) I'd certainly like to join a Chilterns area rideout (or any later on in the year).
I'm Henley area based but have zero trail knowledge of your neck of the woods

TBD I would love to come along (subject to usual domestic humdrum blockers falling into line).

I am not that local to the Chilterns (Sunbury) but am starting work for a new client in Wooburn Green next week and am keen to explore the after work bikepacking potential.

Possibly, Tim. I'll explore childcare possibilities and let you know.
May you always have tail wind.

Evening, yes mate, it's a goer but we're now down to just me and thee if you do get along. Aiming to depart from the Chalfont St Giles duck pond at 3pm Saturday. We can either eat in a pub or cook over the fire. Play it by ear and see what mood takes us. You in?
