Mushroom Risotto, roast partridge and the salted caramel roulade thingy sounds good to me.

Thanks Stu, quite challenging herding Bears as you know - they tend to run off into the forest in all directions

Just booked my bike on train today too (need to remember to book it for January Winter Event to Caersws now as well!) - as mentioned a while ago, bizarrely the quickest train from Milton Keynes is to go all the way up to Crewe then come back south through Shrewsbury arriving at Church Stretton at 11.56am.

Not sure what I'm doing as in transport ,getting down by train is not a problem with the 2 bike rules but coming back everyone will be on the train from church stretton to Shrewsbury for the connection ,think I may get train down and ride home ,if it's not snowing ,60 mile in the wet not too bad but 60 in snow would really have me p@@sed off before I even got to Telford

Yep MaM, 12:33 train away from Stretton on the Sunday for me. PS. Abi's taken over from Wendy - good excuse to pop and check the beer's still OK .

Hey Stu - you can park here and bimble across Ape Dale. Save you having to go so far.

Good idea buddy , but I do like that ride back home from your end ,not sure the residents of albrighton enjoy me passing through after me looking like a tramp sitting on village green eating my chips after September's bam though

I really hope it snows, a lot. And then we have a cold snap. Better than rain!

Plus I have a week in snowdonia just after Xmas and I really want to use the crampons and ice axe!

Wishful thinking I know

Welsh winter climbing is a bloody nightmare to get the conditions right ,you build your hopes up after a couple of freeze thaw cycles ,plan your trip get everyone together and then it bloody lashes down and it's in a permanent thaw cycle , think the last time I had a good winter season was 2012 stretched all the way to April

I have car space heading up from Banbury, pickers has first dibs on account of his near death experience etc...but I’m sure we could fit 3 bikes in the back if we’re not too precious about paintwork
We’re all individuals, except me.

I woke up this morning but I’m still in the dark

Reg - really sorry to do this to you but have to bail (and before I've even seen a weather forecast!) have a great ride - it's a great pub for food and a top bivy spot so sure you will. If plans change I'll try and meet you all for a pint but don't include me in the arrangements.
