I think that's a correct reading actually - it'll be a euphemistic baby after all that beer n BBQ  .

It was cheery Friday until a quarter of an hour ago. All packed ready to go, tomorrow, on a 5 week sailing adventure on a tall ship around the Western Isles. Then got the call from Test & Trace.

My big adventure has gone up in smoke - isolating at home until 18th June. I don't yet know if I can join the ship after that - I'd still have 4 weeks left - but it all hangs on whether the ship will be somewhere reachable.

"If you want to give the Devil a laugh", the saying goes, "tell him your plans." Never a truer word was spoke. :YMSIGH:

Ah well! The saying, "It is what it is..." was coined for just such occasions as this. And, all may not yet be lost :YMPRAY: I've only got to isolate until 18th - that's only 5 days later than I should have started, if I can join it somewhere.

Meant to post this yesterday, when it was actually Friday. A successful test of running around with my tent in the handlebar harness. As suspected, the feed bag was buzzing off the tyre every time we went over a bump, from about half way along the first byway. A quick looping of the paracord on the front of the bad around the Wahoo mount soon stopped that. This'll be much nicer and preferable to the current 2x 5L dry bags on the forks. 👍

You would have been fine. I haven’t got COVID - I had it last year, and had both jabs since then. It’s just that I’ve been close to someone that’s got it, so Track'nTrace have put me and Mrs Frog in solitary confinement. She's had both jabs too. We’ve been for PCR tests today and not expecting bad news.

As to the sailing trip, they’ve said we can join when the isolation's over. That’s 19th June and the ship will be in Oban, so easy enough to get to. We'd still have 4 weeks of the trip left.

Unless something else goes wrong, of course

I know Lu, I was just gently poking fun at the regulations, which seem now only to impact those who are responsible enough to either abide by them or like yourself have been fully vaccinated.
Still after what we’ve been through in the last 18 months can’t be too careful, meanwhile all the unvaccinated youngsters are getting ready to party again

Ruby usually drags me out of bed around 5.30 because everything's dead exciting and you really ought to be outside enjoying it. However, this morning she decided to get Dee up instead so they could have a little girl time together, which got me another hour in bed :-bd

Nice pic  .

Caption Contest? (*)

(*) only one rule: the caption must have the word "Stu" in it somewhere

Quite cheery here. Pissing with rain. I like rain.

"I warned Stu to keep away from that hole in the driveway, now how are we going to get him out of there..."
We go out into the hills to lose ourselves, not to get lost. You are only lost if you need to be somewhere else and if you really need to be somewhere else then you're probably in the wrong place to begin with.
