Sadly, today isn't going quite as well as I'd hoped but the sun's out, I'm breathing fresh air and have a seemingly never ending supply of tea ... so how bad can things be?
Anyway, I thought we'd have a 'cheery Friday thread', simply post up something happy - it could be a picture, a story, some good news, in fact anything that's cheery. I'm starting with this

What value a life half lived if the half you lived was the wrong half?

Got 4 days off and we are heading to North Yorkshire with the family and dog, Fish and Chips and Whitby tomorrow and general slobbing around without bikes.
May sound like hell to some but I can't wait.
Enjoy

Off to the lakes after work for wild camping, landscape photography (bluebells are out), and the Fred Whitton challenge on Sunday.

Well, it's sunny!
Planning on heading over to the Lakes to see my brother tomorrow. Will do a bit of riding around my old haunts

Took both kids to school, then walked the dogs with my wife. Always a good start to the day when I get to do that

We had a family holiday in Yorkshire last summer, and had an excellent day out with the kids and dogs around Whitby - rockpooling on the coast, then crabbing in the harbour (stopped when we filled our bucket, there were loads!), watch the steam trains, then fish and chips. We had a cracking day

Heading to a little airbnb near Hathersedge for a weekend of bouldering and maybe a bit of mountain biking. :D

Hi groovers, Apart from having discovered a tick in my leg which i promptly managed to rip the body off which means a trip to the docs for some antibiotics, the rest of the weekend looks promising - a wild camp out with my son while my daughters have a pamper evening with mum and friends. Think we struck lucky on that one!! Perhaps a family ride and a bit of cricket tomorrow. Howzat!?

It's sunny, there's a bit of wind for the kite and I got my Longitude's tyres to go up tubeless and stay up overnight.
And I've plotted a route extension to a local loop that I have no idea how it will ride. Ideal weekend exploring.

I am 50 next Wednesday. Today at 4pm, my wife is picking me up from work and whisking me away for 3 weeks. I have no idea where I am going or what I will be doing.
Stuart will be glad to know I was told to pack my splitting axe. No bike unfortunately, although she did tell me to pack some bib shorts so hopefully there will be some riding.
So I am excited today to discover what the next 3 weeks holds in store...

Bib shorts and axe ... I'm conjuring up some quite alarming images

Nope, sounds perfect!
I'm heading to Rosedale/Hutton Le Hole tomorrow morning for a wee ride and then a three year old size bike ride round the park on Sunday =]

Finally seeing light at the end of the tunnel for a project that's been dragging on for nearly a year now, and is six months late at work. Excited to see the back of it at the very least

I was going to delete this ^ thinking it had no place in a cheery thread but then I thought, no ... perhaps knowing that CM is having a bad day might be enough to cheer others up
Nothing too bad I hope Tim.
