There will be some "sub standard" weather in there somewhere. There always is.

Just in, the long range forecast:

Whether the weather be fine
Or whether the weather be not,
We'll weather the weather
Whatever the weather
Whether we like it or not.

Seems fine to me :-bd

Been monitoring this and will continue to. Going to bring nice and bad weather kit and decide on the Saturday morning what to wear/take.

Every year at the WRT there has always been some weather.

There is a 100% certainty that there will be weather again this year.

I'm going with my 10c one. If I'm cold I'll just leave my puffy jacket / shorts etc on.

Actually quite mild of an evening at present, especially if you can shelter from the breeze. I'm happily ambling about in shorts and a thin top with no adverse effects or likelihood of impending death.

What about at night though? A couple of people I work who are in the South East but more rural than me have said they've had ice on their cars a couple of mornings this week...

I'll be bringing my quilt which is fine down to around 0C

Got 2 options...... waterproof-11 c comfort bag, packs to the size of a small child and weighs 1450g or summer 10 c comfort bag, packs to size of 750ml water bottle and weighs 280g. One = grumpy cyclist and the other = happy smiley cyclist.
Hmmmmm

Oh aye, there's still a chance of frost but the first swallows have returned to the Towers today, which means it's officially summer :-bd

Cumulus 250 quilt for me. I've been out in it 4 times in the last 4 weeks (twice was in Wales) and haven't gotten close to being cold once. I had a thin merino base layer, a silk liner, and a thin permaloft-style jacket on though. And a hat. And woolly socks. But I was toasty.

Ah well if it's summer, skinny dipping in the reservoirs and nights under the stars with only the silk liner.

Not much of an empire left now and I am still to be persuaded on nights at elevation in Wales in April with a 10c bag

I'm taking my rab bag, an extra top and whisky between them I usually find a happy medium. I think we will all survive and even have fun... :-bd

I remember the midge forecast for Bearstock was similar to that, I got home with nearly a million bites to show for it!
(Maybe a slight exaggeration) :o
