I've gone soft!
On my last couple of trips I haven't been carrying any spare clothes. No spare clothes means nothing to stuff a dry bag with, this in turn means no pillow.
Problem solved ... this arrived today, 160g of self inflating pillowy goodness for the princely sum of a fiver

You're supposed to be a bivvy nerd!
I thought your never left home without a hair-shirt... Why can't you use that as a pillow? Or some rocks?
Pfft!

Surely if the old man needs a pillow, we shouldn't poke fun and criticise

Currently reading a book on Marathon De Sables, and they are using condoms as pillows, doesn't say if ribbed or not.

Re: I've gone soft!
Needs must I suppose but the thought of spending the following day smelling like a 'nodder' somehow doesn't appeal ... think I'll stick to my new, less latexy pillow
I've just seen the irony in a post entitled, 'I've gone soft' that mentions condoms :D

Shocked this forum is going down hill with all this filth
Re: I've gone soft!
How small does it compress to?
Finding a comfortable pillow for longer trips is becoming a bit of a priority. I'm slowly lending to carrying a few extra grams to get a decent nights sleep when faced with several days riding. Shocking I know.

The one in the top picture has proved to be very good, for a fiver you really can't complain at all.
I'd certainly buy another.

Re: I've gone soft!
How small is it packed though Stuart? When its pumped up does the foam help it 'sqidge' or does it feel hard like most inflatable pillows regardless of how much air you let out?

Re: I've gone soft!
Packed size is roughly 3" x 7" ... the foam really does seem to add squidge, so it feels quite soft. Obviously you can add a touch more air to add firmness.
