Thanks for the replies.

I am happy with my saddle set up etc and my current crop of shorts.

I just wondered if there was a go to short for the 4 days straight type races etc.

This is all good news as it means there is no need to go splashing the cash!

I shall find something else bike related to spend my hard earned on.

Cheers.

Talc the area morning and eve. I find riding for 10 hrs + much more comfy in waterproof shorts (over Endura bibs) - I'm guessing because they slide on the saddle meaning less skin/short rubbage. Not good in hot weather, but as a mountain biker in N Britain, you can just take them off when the sun comes out for half an hour.

I'll second the btwins. I find them great up to about a proper half day ride, then the slightly lighter pad starts to tell a little. I've used dhbs a lot in the past too- not the basic ones and not the expensive ones, mid range have been the ataple of my shorts wardrobe for a few years now.

Having said all that, i bought some Morvelo this summer and I will be buying more! Not a peep out of the nethers on the bb200 wearing those. Unfortunately it can get expensive to try different ones!
