Lluest Cwm Bach....from north or south?

Post by frogatthefarriers »

I'm booked on to a course at Llandrindod Wells in the beginning of March so I thought I'd combine it with a BAM night out. Lluest Cwm Bach is the nearest bothy but I can't see a path on Google Earth. I know there must be one (how do people get there otherwise) and I'm guessing it'll be more visible on the ground, but should I go north from the dam or south from t'other end?
My plan is to b&b night before the course then ride out after it and home the next day. On another note, there seem to be disappointingly few off-road options from course to camp.

Imo try to approach from the south unless you want wet feet..

Try to stay quite high & follow the obvious sheep tracks..

Wot Wot said. ^^^^^^
If the water level is low you can walk around the shingle beach from the dam.
