Water Filter

Post by rocklobstercat »

I was in Go Outdoors the other day and saw a water filter bottle thing called 'Water to Go'. A search on the internet and it's got excellent reviews everywhere. Anyone heard of these or used one? I think I'll be buying one soon.

Assuming that they filter as well as each other 20 quid doesn't seem so great when the other one allows you to just scoop up a bottle of water and drink away. I've used a sawyer and it's a bit faffy.

I've been using the water to go for a couple of years it gives a little peace of mind that I won't get a stomach upset a little later in the trip. No problems and easy to use, I use it as my on bike bottle, if I want a nuun or similar I squirt the stream water through it into a separate bottle. The filter itself is replaceable.

I bought my Sawyer Mini before 2014 TD...still using the same filter and it's still going strong. Keep it flushed and it will keep things working correctly. JS is right though...it can be a faff. That said, I don't mind taking a break from riding to get my water sorted...gives me a chance to stretch.
