That's how close I came to capsizing a borrowed Sea Kayak on Sunday morning off the north coast of Hilbre Island off the NE of the Wirral....
Saved it.... Just
What's also amazing about this shot is not my skill on the water but its how the GoPro 9 with the "Lens Mod" kept the horizon level even though I myself was at 45 degrees

Difficult to choose which one to pick from today's trip (by car) to our favourite "best kept secret" beach.

This one is my favourite, as it just captures the mood best, of the joyful release into the freedom to travel again (in Wales) after being locked down since 20th December.

I forgot we had kites, and have certainly not flown them in years, but found them recently when I tidied up the garage, and I just remembered about them and thought to bring them along. It was great fun to have a play with them on the beach, it was really quite windy so glad they didn't break.... I had feared all of Wales would be heading to the beaches today, so it was so great to see that this one at least was deserted as ever.

Nice shot John. Always ignore the BS of never shoot into the sun. "Rules" are there to be broken. Two of my favourite shots both break that rule.

2015 at some point:
ImageSunset Runner by Greg.May, on Flickr

2019 at some point, really, really, really high f-stop on a long lens (300mm IIRC) to compensate for the sun as it was middle of the day, hence excessive vignetting:

Thanks, they are both on the "gallery" in the stairwell printed A3 :)

First one came from a very low res camera, an old Pentax. But I spent about 20mins shooting every runner as they passed the same spot as I knew exactly what I wanted.
