Particularly pleased with this one. Stood at a flood site which was still saturated and soft on a minus2 winters day. Looking West over the River Aire at Beal near kottingley...

This taken just an hour or so earlier...

When things work round here they work. Just enough snow on the tops to throw a lot of light back up again and into the clouds. Took nearly 30 minutes waiting behind a wall while it was happening. Not a bad way to spend an evening.

Thanks. It was a lovely morning... And a good way to start the new year. Here's hoping we can all get out to the places that make us happy over the next months.

Thanks, I had an feeling that due to the prevailing wind and buildup I might be able to pull it off. It's a shot I've tried before but haven't had proper white on white conditions to take.

Was pretty brutal up there while taking it. Full winter climbing kit on at the time - only got about 15 shots before camera packed it in - and I had it in my jacket while walking up! Should have brought spare battery but I didn't for some stupid reason.

Taken this morning on a spontaneous early morning outing  - this one just makes me laugh  it's like one of those health and safety quiz things "name at least three things that are wrong in this picture"

This ice however... did support me:

Not often it comes into condition, couldn't walk away from it. Very local to me.
