Does anyone know of a company that sells or makes, full length top tube bags? As in an extended gas tank bag, from seat post to steerer? Just curious.

Can't think of any but it would be an inherently unstable design as the effective weight of the filled bag would be above the pivot point rather than below it as with a standard frame bag. A gas tank bag also has this problem but gets round it by having an attachment point around the head tube. A full length bag could also attach to the seat post but the middle section would want to twist away.

I've seen on Ian Barrington's blog that he has been testing a secondary gas tank bag mounted to the back of the top tube and seat post. Check out that and possibly the Wildcat website.

I've seen pictures of what you describe. I recall it was the Russian outfit that sell through ebay ... although I could be wrong.

I've thought about this before because both my bikes have a small triangle for a frame bag. It could be done, sure, but you'd have to get some platformed shoes to allow for the increased stand-over height. I thought that another, short, bag fitted below the saddle would be a better option.

A third option, that I have still to get to grips with, is to take less stuff.

I use a small alpkit Fuelpod at the back attached to seatpost and a medium or large at the front. Works well, keeps the stand over height but gives you the extra storage space between your legs.

That's going to hurt your nuts when you have to dismount in a hurry!

Less so than landing on your toptube surely? As for the picture I know nothing about it, just found it on Google.
