Yup, will be a few of us coming over from Oxford way to join in the fun. The other chaps did it last year though I had to cancel at the last minute due to family stuff. Shame it's the weekend before Bikefest as it's probably not the best preparation for a 12hr solo race, but what the hell.

I've just entered but couldn't seem to get both the raffle tickets and the entry donation in my Paypal order basket. Can I buy the tickets by way of a seperate Paypal transaction ??

What you need to do (bit late for you now Rich) is press the donate button for your entry, then once you've been taken to your cart, press continue shopping and buy your raffle tickets. ;) Both entry and raffle tickets will then end up in the basket and the same transaction.

I'm in and had no difficulty with the entry :)

One of our normal four has a bit of a knee issue but with a bit of luck the North Shropshire contingent will all be there.

I reckon it's going to easily be the biggest entry yet this year, are you going to cap entries at all Stu?

It's an odd one but when you're into 'it' you can't understand why others might not be. I believe one of the things that makes 'it' good is the fact 'it's' not for everyone ... however I also believe that if people gave it a go then many of them would actually enjoy themselves ;)

We'll see how it goes but at this rate we might have to ... our facilities can only cope with so many. I'll make sure there's fair warning if we do though.

A friend has gone and booked their wedding for the 3rd June, so no fun for me this year. Bloody cheek. ;)

I'm teetering on the brink of entering the 12hr instead; having endured a wedding the weekend before I know I'll be able to get a pass out the next weekend.

Worth doing. Bikefest is a great event with a really good atmosphere.

50 entries within the first 24 hours suggests it might be a busy year ;)

Why am I so tempted by this, when
a) I'm hugely unfit in general
b) I'm even more specifically bike-unfit because I spent most of last year running
c) I should be concentrating on running again because I'm doing another Ultra in August
d) Despite having (almost) all the gear, I did pretty much naff-all bivvying last year....

Yours faithfully,

Confused, Leeds

Because, unlike having your testicles nailed to a table, it's actually good fun and something everyone needs to do at least once ;)

Not sure I'll be able to make it or not but I've just paid my money, even if I can't go it's going to a good cause.
It'll be nice to put faces to names if I do make it.
