Any chance you’ve got a link, really fancy a pair when I’m out.
Here you go. There are other brands available on the site obviously but I took a punt with these ones and so far they seem like they'll be more than adequate for my needs. https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B07 ... UTF8&psc=1
Cheers for the link, they look ideal.

Arrived yesterday as a 2nd hand bargain, barely used Terrene McFly 29x2.8 light. Weights 760g with some dried slime on it, which needs cleaning off before trying out.

Will the tool roll fit a mountain bike tube or only a road/gravel one? Do you think the pot bag would be ok on the down tube or is it more designed for a fork leg?

Should fit a MTB tube okay Paul, strap is certainly long enough to accommodate it. Pot bag on the downtube, certainly. It's perhaps an even better location than the forks.

Sensible ploy. When I got mine ages ago I thought it would be nice to test it on the stainless steel sink draining board in our utility room. I was slightly taken aback by how, er, playful it was when it bloomed! When it does bloom, if you don't laugh out loud at how amazing it is then ya got no sense of wonder  .

Quick trip to the hardware store and we’re ready. Starting to think my sense of wonder might not be so apparent if my eyebrows have been taken back a bit!

22g aren't quite as lively as 8g due to the increased volume. I'm sure it'll be lovely

Luckily in the end it was just a small matter of cleaning the ring of light soot off the ceiling  .

PS. Erm, I notice that it's three hours since we last heard from 'Legs and he was just about to test it. Do you think we need to ring emergency services or something?

And it is lovely - thanks Stu! Looking forward to a proper field test at the weekend.

No need for a call out RIP, eyebrows and dignity still intact!
