Should fit a MTB tube okay Paul, strap is certainly long enough to accommodate it. Pot bag on the downtube, certainly. Sensible ploy. When I got mine ages ago I thought it would be nice to test it on the stainless steel sink draining board in our utility room. I was slightly taken aback by how, er, playful it was when it bloomed! When it does bloom, if you don't laugh out loud at how amazing it is then ya got no sense of wonder
