On my birthday/Xmas list...
I don't know much Colin but from what I do know it looks nice. I got it from Escape Watersports for £45 which seemed like a good buy? The S/M fits me well.

GORE C5 GoreTex Activeshell "pants". Half price from Millets, though still not exactly cheap. Take it as a statement of intent regarding this Winters cycling 😊

Daughter Perrin wanted some gaiters for the Peak soggy season. Gave her Mrs Perrin's. Mrs Perrin finally notices they're gone and perfectly reasonably (in her view) replaces them with mine. Therefore I had to buy some more - mine were Trekmates Helvellyn purchased in an emergency in Church Stretton before last year's Winter Bivvy. Claim to be breathable & seem to be. Bought same again, and added some Dexshell ultrathin socks 'cos, well, why not eh. Usually reckon that "waterproof" leg coverings are a bit of a waste of time unless warm too, but will give them another try this year with the socks. Gaiters always seem inordinately heavy so resolved to sort that out and laid into them with some scissors - zips.. gone, only velcro; labels... gone; foot loops.. replaced by tiny strips, etc. 55g shaved off the 210g! Waterproof Test here we come.
