Yep the multi-modal trip is a great idea whenever you're free - trains, boats, planes, cars, camels, spaceships... must be a Guinness record in there somewhere :-bd (edit: where exactly are you down there btw, mebbes I could come to you if that helps? (edit: apologies - congrats on the littl'un  ))
Not likely to have any passes soon unfortunately Reg. plus I have a couple of week long work trips coming up that are taking a toll on family life. I'm at the top of the northern line in London

What does one need on the hottest day of the year? insulated, goretex lined winter spd boots of course. They turned up today, wouldn't mind some cold weather right now. Will be stored till cold weather commuting starts, I'm a sucker for a bargain and I needed some

Always wise to buy out of season but wash your mouth out for wanting this hot spell and summer to end [ a few degrees colder and or a breeze you can wish for

An XT front mech for my Orbea.
Yes, it already has a perfectly functioning SLX front mech, and yes, I'm a bit of a tart, but all the other groupset components are XT and this was just £10.99 at Wiggle....

And if you stand astride the toptube and rest your forearms across the bars and lean forward it's really easy to rest your head in your hands in despair

The postman brought me a dewidget from Backcountryscot

Stuart has made me a windshield it arrived Friday. I have more stoves than most the result of a 20 year habit. never really gave the windshield a second thought using a MSR foil one which works but is heavy fiddely and not that efficient. Great piece of kit. Thanks Stuart

Cheers Peter

More for the campervan, but I'll try it out this weekend's BAM to test it out.

I just hope it works as good as the reviews I've seen

All part of getting ready for a 3 weeks holiday trip :-bd

I'm going to buy an additional mug just for this reason. I was planning to get a couple of decent sized Bearbones stickers for it.

An Invisiframe kit and some rigid carbon fatbike forks from ebay. They're off a Trek and we're less than half price. OK, so they're not quite the right shade of grey, but..

A pair of the On One Floops (Fake Loops) that were on offer for £15. Question is can I justify spending £25 on some long ESI grips for them? Hmmmmmmm. :-S

And delivered some goodies from exposure, a carbon joystick after I decided that I prefer it to the Diablo, and a very nice head torch with support cell which will see use on my climbing helmet at work as well.
