Beautiful.
As a suspension post addict I’ve never had the joy of a dropper but PNW have made an air sprung suspension/dropper. Genius.
Now I can have my cake and eat it.
I read some reviews about those and price notwithstanding, was tempted. I'd be interested in your comparison of the suspension action of the post wrt something like a USE Vybe that I've some experience of.

... and finally delivered a "lost in transit" Wiggle order that should've arrived ten day ago. I can now fit the disc rotors to my new Hunt wheels and start using them. Hopefully the spendy Assos gloves will also mean no more putting up with 20km of freezing fingers till I sweat enough to warm up the neoprene gloves. Thankfully my other spendy Assos gloves fit nicely underneath, so hopefully they'll do for most of the winter.

I’ll let you know Paul. I’ve been using a USE XCR (pre Vybe) for years that’ll be my baseline.

Pleased to say that the “Further Adventures in rough stuff” landed yesterday.

Only really opened the cover but it looks fantastic! I was surprised to see the postcards and badge.

Looking forward to getting the kick to get out there again soon once I’ve read it.

Cheers Rob

A book - "The Book You Wish Your Parents Had Read (and Your Children Will be Glad That You Did)".

Given they're both teenagers it might be a bit late

Ok - they were Gorilla clips, sent from the Welsh mountains.

Thanks, Stu

Also got my 'further adventures..' today, which a brief flick through suggests will be great.
Also a Kasai 'user serviceable' dynamo hub from Spa cycles for the cross check.

Interesting hub which I’ve not seen before. My SP
died recently and the correct flavour of SON is out of stock in the UK when I last checked. Reading the bikepacking.com article here, opinion appears divided on the serviceability of the coil side bearing. But I guess it’s a step up from SP and not SON £££ so worth a go.

I think the main thing is you can get into the bearings without unlacing the wheel. With an SP you have to un lace it and engage in a fairly fiddly job to take it apart, replace bearings and put it back together again; then rebuild the wheel. I'll probably pull this one now just to see whats what and grease the threads.

A pair of Black Friday reduced Maxxis Minnions (DHF and DHR2) to replace my existing fast rolling 29er tyres since I'm not likely to be doing much bikepacking or endurance riding for the foreseeable future.

A bag of 15 "Faff" coffee bags. Supposedly tastes like real coffee without the usual prep. I Will report back after sampling one tomorrow.

Complete Novels of Flann O'Brien / Myles na gCopaleen. Already got The Poor Mouth but fancied reading the others.

OT? Nah - "This is a world where bicycles listen to conversations". Of course they do!

Flann could give JJ a run for his money, and everyone knows that if bikepacking was a book it would be the madness of Finnegans Wake.

Fits really well in the bar loop and very light, but zero frills and doesn't sit too nicely with my Exposure bracket on the front extension (or rear facing computer bracket mounted on the main bar). Hmm...always a compromise...
Fixed this issue with a 3d printed bracket from Raceware Direct, plus an Exposure action cam bracket. Seems to work well, light is held securely:

Dropped off a set of stickers for an OO Fatty from Indibike (link below) They are exactly like the originals and part of an OOF regeneration project that started with buying Allen's Lauf Carbonara fork, a 150x15 hub to build a new front wheel and a respray for the frame which I've not sorted. It's my Fatty's 10th birthday next year (I think) so it's getting some love.
