Where did you buy the framebag from?
You can get them off Amazon. It has some nice features, like the internal shelf, and a bright orange interior lining. I'm not sure how waterproof it it but it's a decent bag overall for the money

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Moosetreks-Bik ... 148&sr=8-1
Thanks. Did you buy the medium?
I bought the large 14l one which fits my XL Big Bro very well. I see the large isn't in stock at the moment but I'm sure it'll be available elsewhere or will be back on in due course
Thanks. I think the large is what I want, but can't find it in stock anywhere, I'll just have to keep on checking!
May satan walk with you

A Hope carbon seatpost for the Gold Rush. I've never had a carbon post before. Should I fit it with special fibre paste or not?

I did, I don't know how essential it really is. I think it stops it slipping so easily so you don't need to tighten it so much and potentially damage it.

Bit of a bumper day for me too, on Wednesday though:

A supply of "summit to eat" meals (prompted by the chat here about reusable pouches)

Pyramid inner tent - cheers Brown dog :-bd

Less exciting, a tube of electrolyte tabs

More exciting, knitting pattern and wool for my first greyhound jumper. Sorry I won't be biking for the foreseeable, will be glued to the sofa instead, knitting
Cheery Friday as we'll be going to pick up the new arrival tomorrow

Just back from a four day work conference to find one of those Apidura framebag bladders had been delivered. I left unpacking till I'd tried it out and it fitspatrickly in the bottom of that Moosetreks frame bag I was banging on about earlier. The bag has an internal divider, so refilling the bladder wont require emptying the whole bag out to get to it, as well as protecting it from all the sharp things I keep in there. It was not cheap, but I'm very pleased. :-bd :-bd

Mescal 29 x 2.6 from Banana Industries. Went up tubeless first time and seems true to size, unlike the Bonty xr3 it's replaced (though the Bonty also popped on first time, and has admittedly been pretty good apart from it coming up quite a bit smaller than the advertised 2.4 width).

Also received a Thomson layback seatpost from the classifieds (thanks to @Cheeky Monkey)and which seems to have helped dial in the fit of the Silk Road...

I challenge Monkey to set them all up at the same time. Not next to each other, but inside each other, "Russian Doll" style . That'd be impressive :-bd . Not to say unbelievably water/midge/everything-proof.

with a pair of Conti speed rides for the grovel bike. I'm unsure as to why their tubeless offerings in gravel flavour are £50 plus as these were £22. Anyway having tried tubeless again on the Straggler I'm going back to tubes with these as I'm fed up having to pump the tyres up before every ride....

They look pretty good with a G one type tread over the crown but some side knobs for those knee down loose corners

I had a 2002 marzocchi, what's this servicing word mean?
The Magura 29er TS8 forks are still plush, grease was expensive.food grade v. low viscosity grease instead of oil. £20 a tube. it's under a lock key so may 'unappointed Commodity Relocation Manager' doesn't put my interested behind hers. ie interfering & clearing it out. :???:
just splurged out a Knog Oi bell. very nice from a new bike shop. near Huddersfield, Velofondista. fancy name.... no one near by stocks timber bell but they are bigger money...

cos only a piccy of the empty box, cos' I've fitted it

no quite by postie, supporting the local bike shop and went indoor to GoOutdoor... just bought a opinel no. 8 knife, plastic handle Nice and light at 60g. (A swizz army knife is twice that.) It locks both ways shut or open. plus it got a built-in whistle that really works0ė. I'm not sure I need a shackle key, it as sounds a bit naulical; but it helps me pull the blade out( the elongated triagular hold on the blade).

oh and some orange sealant... I hope the last isn't an extensive expensive mistake...

I was recommended orange sealant when I went tubeless and it's been flawless so far over the last 18 months of admittedly relatively light useage.

An ultimate direction race vest thing arrived - 10 litres of carrying capacity in seemingly 0.1 litre pockets - but only 180grams and everything is stretchy. Should be ideal for the tour divide
