The happy postman dropped this off yesterday. A Berghaus Popena Gilet. Courtesy of winning a competition on the Berghaus Facebook site for this 10 second adventure video of mine :)

Not from the postman, but collected from the Edinburgh Bicycle Cooperative in Byker yesterday. My new cycle to work bike, even though due to having a van for work that is kept at home I can't actually cycle to work. I've been wanting a bike more suited to road-based camping trips, and for general day-to-day use for going to the shops/pub/gym etc so decided this would fit the bill. Budget was a bit limited due to us having a £500 limit on the scheme (low basic pay topped up with commission, which can't be taken into account for wage deductions) but as it was directly through Edinburgh Bicycle Coop we could still go for bikes that were reduced.

Well not arrived yet, but have just ordered:
- new tyres for commuting bike (there appears to be a mile shortage of schwalbe durano pluus folding tyres in 700x25), ended up ordering from amazon as the usual places don't stock them!
- replacement rear light coz I lost mine in yorkshire.
- new light clamp.

Then i noticed how much it all cost, it adds up quick the price of these bike bits, and that was nothing particularly flash :???:

My Sestrals quilt from http://astucas.com/en/gear/sestrals-quilt :-)

Shocked by how light it is! Will take some use to gain confidence in its warmth even though I went for the APEX 200 filling.

PS Spanish online postal tracking is not exactly very informative ;-)
