So this just arrived, a few changes to make when bits arrive this weekend.

And delivered a oneup components EDC pump,doesn’t sound very exciting but it’s clever. Hidden inside the pump handle is a multi tool, chain tool, tyre lever, split link tool and also a tubeless tyre plug tool. It’s a bit like a Russian doll for when it hits the fan. Seems extremely well made and cuts out a lot of faff, I’m always misplacing my tool

This plus a spare gear cable, tubilito tube and little bottle of stans jizz should see me through most things.

I'd put some copper slip or similar on the threads for the CO2 head, it has a habit of jamming and the multi tool doesn't appear to have the correct size to undo it (unless I've missed something obvious, again). Also, if you're keeping quick links in it, blu tack them down or something, otherwise they'll fall out when you get the tool out.

That not withstanding, it's a great bit of kit, best thing I've bought for the bike in ages.

Picked up a few things in the recemt Polaris sale (some still in the sale).
Shield windproof jacket, to replace my not very windproof ancient pertex top.
Awol trail jersey, seems a good tech tee, handy wee pocket on the hip.
Gator MTB sunglasses, good fit and very comfortable.
Bought the good lady a pair of the Capri pants, bargain for £10. She doesn't do much in the way of cycling, but she rates them for comfort and thinks they will be pretty good for walking too.
Some velcro "Fixie"straps and finally (one for Reg), a Polaris Maptrap. Still like to have a map onboard for those more exploratory rides and got fed up with pulling it in and out of various pockets, hopefully it will do the job.
Just waiting for a couple of books to arrive.

An Exped Synmat UL in wide long guise. I like my Neoair but it’s more suited to people of shorter narrower stature, and my arms fall off the sides. My son has snaffled it for his personal use, so it won’t go to waste. And a sheet of Tyvek to make a groundsheet.

And in further developments, a well used but perfectly serviceable Brompton was delivered today from a certain Pickers up north. It’s a bit rusty but sound enough for the trip to and from the Slough train station to my office, which will take all of 10 mins instead of 30-40 on the staff bus. I may at some point replace the rear triangle, but that will depend on whether I actually like riding it.

Another gore bike wear windstopper skull cap. Have one in yellow so this one is black.eans I can rotate and wash it more easily for cold commuting. I really rate them

Plus lots of socks. Merino and normal wool. A pair of Darn Tough ones and then a load from mountain warehouse which were great value

And brought a Maxxis Minion 650b DHF 2.5 (managed to get down to £30 using the generic fiver discount code that flags up when browsing the Tredz site). Along with that came some Uberbike components Avid Elixir Kevlar brakepads. Hopefully they'll be even better than their sintered ones...

I put one of them on the front of my MTB a few weeks back (2.5 WT) to replace a 2.8 Rekon just for a change, loads of grip but actually rolls well. I like it.

Two older style Alpkit Stem Cells, if you ask them nicely they dig out the old pattern and make them for you, they are lovely people. Now to sew some patches on them.
