I probably could Colin but this is fairly longstanding arrangement ... maybe time for some modernisation me thinks.
You know, sometimes I wonder why I bother.....
Don't worry Colin, I got it.
Aye you were barking up the wrong tree with that one Colin!

... with one rather striking BBB jersey! Thanks Stuart. Quite a snug fit I must say, but it's fine. I knew I should have had a summer one and a roomier winter one. I'll just have to wait for 2026's version.

.... also some pieces of rubber, which I won't go into at the moment.

PS> Very p1ssed off that ImageUpload.co.uk has now gone silly as well as previous image hosters. I've moved over to flickr so we'll see how long that lasts as a freebie (1000 image limit it says).

Some lovely Chris King Singlespeed hubs built on to Stans Crest rims for my old Singular Peregrine, an ebay find that seem to have hardly ever been used.

A new mobile phone.

I got the only "compact" Android phone I could find, a Sony Xperia XZ2 Compact. I just don't get the need for humungous phones.

Oh - and some Rockshox fork oil for a lower leg refresh.

The orange has landed. Helen will be surprised by hers. I'm wondering if "The current Mrs Barter" was the right choice?

The current Mrs Barter
I'd think of it as future-proofing, makes the jersey usable forever. Although you'll have to stick with the same size of prospective wife. It would definitely be a talking point the first time the 2 of you went out for a ride.
Reminds me of a fellow pupil on a Welsh course I went on (don't ask), hubby had run off leaving her with 3 kids under 3, he rang her demanding the return of his wedding ring. She obliged but not before having the word bastard engraved in negative on the inside of the ring so it would leave an impression whenever he wore it.

"aspirational" - or possibly a threat . As in "Well, late as in the *late* Dentarthurdent. It's a kind of threat you see."

"the current Mrs Barter" - I've not met the good lady concerned but fitting that across her back makes for some interesting vital statistics....

... anyway, talking of vital statistics, it's obviously well-known how commodious the jerseys are despite their snug fit, as displayed by previous modelling opportunities. I can confirm that the latest iteration of the garment is no less capacious....... it's all done in the best possible taste though....

Compliment accepted .

I wonder if, a la Private Eye, we could see the two persons/photos concerned in this silliness juxtaposed with the wrong name captions .

Given some more time, I could meme it up for you...but alas, I'm currently shoving things in bags and strapping bags on bike to do the you-know-what for November.

But you're very much welcome on the compliment. :)

"you-know-what for November." - funny you should mention that, am out tonight too. Well I say "out", it's a bit of a placeholder this month after a suggestion by MuddyPete, with both of us having some family hoo-has to manage much farther. I'm double-checking it's in The Rules and I believe it is. I've also not done it before so it'll be novel if nowt else.

Got to now I've mentioned it I suppose....
