Obviously I use the word work in place of 'nobbing about' ... a phrase often heard in Bear Bones Towers, "so what are you nobbing about at today then".

Anyway, what kind of stuff (if any) would you like to see emerge from the workshop? The AfterBurner stove is all sorted as is the 'Simple' stove kit, I'm working on a few different things that could fall under the heading of 'shelter' but other than a candle powered gasifier stove I've nothing else in the pipeline just yet. ... anything?

How about some way of clipping the pot to the meths burner like a jetboil kind of thing? I suspect actually that might just end with flaming meths everywhere if you tipped the pot over

A windscreen I'd use? Something that beats my folded up piece of stiff foil. Needs to be small and packable

I've got some vague ideas about integrating a tarp, mat and bivi bag, although I really don't know how.
It seems a bit pointless using a waterproof bivi under a waterproof tarp, so I'm thinking of something that looks a bit like a funnel. A long thin bit to poke your legs in to, with a wider bit to move around in.
Or a bivi mattress. The bottom half of a bivi bag doesn't really do much so how about an inflatable mattress with just the top half of a bivi bag attached to it, or a bivi bag with an inflatable bottom if you prefer.

I'm just making a cone for Mart, for this very thing. 8g stove in this case but no reason why there won't / couldn't be a 22g version ... although the 22g is more stable anyway due to it's size. The only trouble is mug size, although the 8g is designed to only work with a 'standard sized' 450ml mug, everyone seems to insist on using something else, which is usually bigger

My request is probably impossible. Some system of drying wet kit when you are out under a tarp. I wondered if a squeeze bag could do this where you shoved it all in and it was compressed with the water being forced out of some holes or something. Or maybe a clever drip dry bicycle, or a weird portable tumble drier where the clothes are spun in a bag attached to the rear wheel [;-)]

Collapsable caldera cone? Love mine but its a pane in the arse to pack. I know there are MYOG instructions out there for them, but all my efforts have turned out a bit crap.

Yeah a flissure cone for my Lifeventure 450ml (or Alpkit MiTi mug with small amounts of water in it) on the 8g stove.

Keep meaning to make one myself but with another little one on the way and house stuff never find the time.

Make one of these, then pre-ride next years BB200 route to make sure the tussocks are ironed out for the rest of us.

Instead of a Chikara Nylon (love this stuff) floor, I'd use 3 mm Evazote. Chikara can be sewn into Evazote and the seam sealed like any other seam on PU coated Fabric.

Problem is, it's a very specific design and not flexible at all.

Here we go, Marts new windshield to allow an oversize mug to be used with an 8g stove.

Base is nice and wide to allow lots of air volume inside the shield and to create a big taper which prevents the pot from 'choking' the exhaust gases which really upsets the stove. Can be rolled and stored in the pot.
